I’m home from Dragoncon! I got home yesterday and had to work, so I came home and pretty much crashed.
It was a great weekend! We did dub it “The Weird Dragoncon” because we didn’t do thinks like we normally did.
I’m working on getting my pics up while here at home.
I just got my wisdom teeth out at 10 this morning – only the two on the right side. I came home and slept for a long time, then when I woke up I was starting to feel some pain since the numbness was wearing off. But now I’m drugged up again and feel pretty ok! Still woozy though.
Anyway, Dragoncon – right now I only have friday pictures up, but here’s some of my favourites…
Chase and I got up early to go get our badges, then went and had our traditional nice breakfast, and sat across from David Prowse (Darth Vader). Ha. Then the rest of the day went fast, manning the RL table, changing costumes, etc. Ash and Melissa went to a panel so Cath and I kicked around for a long time since Chase was at his clone mixer. This was the first year we didn’t go to Evening in Bree – we almost did but then we decided to take a nap ! LOL By the time Chase got back to the room, I wasn’t feeling great and wearing Animated Leia at the time wasn’t helping (headache) I decided to go ahead and put on my mandalorian. LOVE the mando!! It’s so comfy and fun to wear! Then there was the SO meeting at 11, then the girls and i sat up on the 10th floor playing a cardgame. fun times. ha.

The whole reason I brought Bespin Escape with me, so I could get pics in the walkways. Never could get a shot without someone behind me, but one of these days I’ll edit the people out like I did with my Rebel Leia pics from last year.

When I put this costume on, I put the pillow on underneath the tunic and went over to Ash and said “Get it out of your system” so took a punch at my stomach… but oops! I had forgotten I’d put my backup Mustafar jewelry pieces inside the pillow. So she’d just rammed her knuckles into my big brooch, broke it in half and caused herself some pain. HAWHAW.

I’m going to take some good pics of the mando soon, since we really didn’t get too many. I want to show some of the detail, like the belt buckle Chase made for me and all the 10 gazillion red suede straps I made, both for the front of the vest and the legs.
